As the economy rebounds, local manufacturing companies are enjoying the benefits … and some of the challenges.
“Unemployment is dropping nationwide albeit rising slightly here in Massachusetts,” said Hugh Daley, CFO of Cord Master Engineering.
“The job market is tight. It makes hiring entry level manufacturing employees really challenging. Finding experienced manufacturing employees to work in our facility is almost impossible.”
The unemployment rate in MA on this date is 2.8%, down from nearly 9% in 2010.
